The final match of the T20 World Cup between England and Pakistan saw the Three Lions capture the title for the second time.

Led by Ben Stokes and Sam Curran, England defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in the final.

With this victory, England prevented Pakistan from repeating their 1992 World Cup victory.

While Pakistan scored a total of 137 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets, the England team chased down the target in 19 overs for the loss of 5 wickets.

Ben Stokes was the hero of victory for England. Stokes scored an unbeaten 52 off 49 balls with five fours and a six and gave the team victory.

Pakistan's openers once again got to see a bad game. Rizwan and Babar could not get the team off to a good start in a crucial match.

The Pakistani batters also did not take full advantage of the powerplay and in 6 overs could score only 39 runs.

The middle order of Haris, Iftikhar, Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan could not do much for the team and failed completely.

Afridi's injury- Shaheen Afridi got injured while taking the catch of Phil Salt. He had two overs left but could not bowl his over, which was a big loss for Pakistan.

The Pakistani bowlers tried hard but none of the bowlers could break down Ben Stokes. This batter won England the match on his own.
