Mark Wood of England is currently one of the fastest bowlers in the world. His bowling speed easily hovers around 150 kmph.

In the T20 World Cup 2022 against Afghanistan, Mark Wood displayed a top notch show with the ball which rattled Afghanistan batters.

Mark Wood bowled all 24 balls of his four-over-spell at a speed of 140 in the match against Afghanistan and scripted a world record.

Before Mark Wood, no bowler could ever bowl all the balls of his quota of four overs at a speed of 140 kmph.

Mark Wood's average speed in the match against Afghanistan was 149 kmph which is also a record in itself.

Mark Wood took two wickets against Afghanistan. He dismissed Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Mohammad Nabi. Both these balls were bowled at the speed of 145.

Mark Wood bowled the fastest ball in this match at 154 kmph to Ibrahim Zadran. This is the fastest ball of T20 World Cup 2022 so far.

Mark Wood conceded 23 runs four-over spell. With his unchallenged speed he has posed threat to rest of the teams in the ongoing T20 WC 2022.
