Zaheer Khan turns 44

Former India pacer and 2011 ODI World Cup winner, Zaheer Khan turned 44 years old on October 07 (Friday).

Zaheer Khan is among the finest pacers India ever produced. He played at the top level for 14 years after making his debut in 2000. 


The left-arm pacer represented India in 92 Tests, 200 ODIs and 17 T20Is during his glittering career with the national team.

Champions Trophy (2000)

Zaheer Khan bagged seven wickets in four matches during Champions Trophy in 2000 and finished with the second-most wickets.

The former left-arm pacer bagged eight wickets in five matches during Champions Trophy 2002 and finished with joint second-most wickets. 

World Cup (2003)

Zaheer finished with 18 wickets in 11 matches during the 2003 World Cup, which was the most by any Indian bowler. 

World Cup (2007) 

During Team India's forgettable 2007 ODI World Cup campaign, Zaheer Khan once again finished with the most wickets for the Men in Blue. 

In the 2011 ODI World Cup, Zaheer Khan bagged 21 wickets in nine matches and finished with the joint-most wickets in the tournament.
