Current India skipper Rohit Sharma took the field for India for the 36th time in the 2022 T20 World Cup.

He is now the most capped player in Men's T20 World Cup history!

This happened when India faced South Africa in the ongoing marquee event.

It is a new record for Rohit, breaking a previous one held by Sri Lankan legend Tillakaratne Dilshan.

Rohit has also played in all of the T20 World Cups for India so far, starting from 2007!

He made his T20I debut in the 2007 T20 World Cup against England.

His first T20I half-century also came in the T20 World Cup, against South Africa.

Dwayne Bravo, Shahid Afridi, Shakib Al Hasan and Shoaib Malik are third on this list, with 34 T20 WC matches.
