Rohit Sharma scored another Test half-century on July 23.

Rohit Sharma scored a half-century in 35 balls in the 2nd innings.

It was Rohit Sharma's fastest half-century in red-ball cricket.

Earlier, Rohit had scored a half-century in 47 balls against England in a Test match.

Despite scoring a half-century in 35 balls, Rohit couldn't secure the record for fastest fifty by an Indian opener in Tests.

Virender Sehwag holds the record for smashing the fastest fifty by an Indian opener in Tests.

In 2008, Sehwag scored a half-century in 32 balls against England.
